Meet Farhana
Farhana: My name’s Farhana. I got introduced [to PSS] two months ago. My dream is to get a car. I do the Thursday activities. And I go with the support workers [for] my appointments or shopping or anything. Sometimes, we go to the zoo, or to the hall and play cards – UNO and stuff like that.
Interviewer: What’s your favourite thing about this place?
Farhana: The people.
Interviewer: What about the people?
They’re really nice to me. And if I need help or anything, they help me. Like 24/7. Because they gave me the 24/7 number. Because I have a baby, he’s in the hospital. He [was] born premature.
Interviewer: They’ve been helping you with everything going on at home and around as well?
Farhana: Yeah.
Interviewer: Do you have a favourite thing to do with your support worker?
Farhana: Yeah.
Interviewer: What is it?
Farhana: Dancing
Interviewer: So, who’s your favourite support worker?
Farhana: Hadia
Interviewer: Are you just saying that because she’s here?
Farhana: No.
Interviewer: Are you sure?
Farhana: Yeah.
Interviewer: You should be honest…
Farhana: No, Hadia. Because whenever I go shopping or anywhere, she gets my bags and helps me a lot.
Interviewer: Why would you recommend PSS to them? Someone who’s having trouble and they need help. What would you say to them?
Farhana: To come here.
Interviewer: Why should they come here?
Farhana: Because it’s a good agency.
Interviewer: Why?
Farhana: And I know the people a lot. Like I know him, and his Mum.
